The Lake Chelan Health Board of Commissioners provides strategic leadership and governance to support the organization’s mission, vision, and long-term success. Commissioners serve as representatives of the community and are responsible for establishing policy, ensuring financial stewardship, overseeing organizational performance, and helping guide the future direction of the hospital district.
Board members work collaboratively with executive leadership to ensure Lake Chelan Health continues to provide high-quality healthcare services that meet the needs of the communities it serves.

LORI WITHROW
Lori Withrow was elected to the Board of Commissioners for Chelan County Public Hospital District No. 2 (Lake Chelan Health) in 2021. She has served as Board Vice Chair for the past three years and now holds the position of Board Chair. She earned her B.S. from Western Washington University and is a Certified Project Management Professional as well as a licensed Water Treatment Plant and Distribution Manager. With more than three decades of leadership experience in project management, supply chain, operations, and construction, Lori brings a practical, systems‑focused perspective to the board’s work. She is committed to ensuring Lake Chelan Health remains financially strong, well‑governed, and able to deliver high‑quality care to the community. Outside her hospital service, Lori supports Little Butte’s drinking water system, collaborates with local wineries, and enjoys time with her family in the valley.

DOUG GIBSON
Doug has served on the Lake Chelan Health Commission since 2023. Doug and his wife, Barbara have been full-time residents of Chelan for six years. He received his Master of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Washington. Doug held various healthcare positions in his 40 year career. When not traveling or helping Barb garden Doug can be found pursuing his woodworking hobby.

MARY MURPHY
Mary C. Murphy has served on the Lake Chelan Health Commission since 2016. Her family farmed in Manson 1965 to 2019 and they have owned the Ruby Theatre since 1989. Mary earned degrees in Nursing, English Literature and Health Education. She served in US Peace Corps and in a Tibetan refugee camp in Nepal. She has worked as an obstetrical nurse, perinatal consultant with Oregon Health Sciences University and clinics throughout Oregon, and as a county public health administrator. For the past thirty years Mary has worked as an independent consultant in health and community services in all four west coast states. She obtained grant funding for many Chelan Valley projects including Chelan Library, Riverwalk Pavilion, Manson Parks, and Lake Chelan Health services. Mary has enjoyed serving on the boards of Community Foundation of NCW, Lake Chelan Community Services Council and more

JORDANA LAPORTE
Jordana LaPorte has been a Commissioner for Lake Chelan Health since 2018, participating in all board committees. She has particularly enjoyed serving on the Finance Committee and in a three year appointment as Board Chair. She currently serves on the governance education committee for the WA State Hospital Association. A Certified Public Accountant for over 35 years, she started her career in the Bellevue/Seattle area, working for regional firms and KPMG, a national firm. Her focus has been to provide tax and consulting services to small businesses and their owners. In 2003, she started LaPorte Financial Alliance, Inc in Chelan. In 2020 she merged with Evergreen Accounting where she continued to provide consulting services. Her family owns and operates an apple orchard in the Manson area. Jordana has served as President of the Chelan Rotary club; as a board member and executive director of the NCW BusinessLoan Fund, and committee member for the Washington State Society of CPA’s. She is a Board Member for the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. As a volunteer she has spoken about business finances and budgeting to local high school students and judged speakers for FFA and FBLA events.

LEN ENGLAND
Len has served on the Lake Chelan Health Commission since 2024. Len was born and raised here, being the 7th of 8 siblings. After earning a BA degree in Spanish, Len continued as the 4th generation to farm in the valley, and raised his 5 children on the farm with his wife Lesa. He owned, leased and managed orchards for over 40 years. He has had many side jobs and co-owned a number of businesses. Len has served on a number of boards including Manson Parks. He helped coach Manson High School Baseball for over 20 years. Len is involved in serving impoverished families both locally and abroad.

REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS:
Occur on the last Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm, unless otherwise noted. We are currently meeting in a hybrid setting, via Microsoft TEAMS and in person in the Bragg conference room located at the hospital.
