Occupational Therapy

Lake Chelan Health Rehabilitation Department offers Occupational Therapy services for a wide range of life skill areas. Therapists work to help children, teens, adults, and seniors overcome challenges with functional daily activities. Wellness and recovery are promoted by addressing personal strengths and limitations, the activity at hand, and the environment. Services may include:

  • Functional Mobility and Coordination

Services are offered in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The team works alongside families and caregivers to create a therapy plan that helps people return to meaningful activities including work, school, hobbies, and social engagements.

Jim Szymanski

Jim has been with Lake Chelan Health Hospital for seventeen years as an occupational therapist, an EMS volunteer, a Sanctuary admissions coordinator, and most recently as an infection control coordinator. Jim earned his B.S. in Medical Science at the University of Nevada-Reno and completed the Certificate Program in Occupational Therapy at Loma Linda University. He has certification through NBCOT and is a member of AOTA. During his spare time, Jim can be found at the climbing gym, performing yoga, or digging up rocks in his yard.

Jocelyn Rich

Jocelyn is an Occupational Therapist, specializing in pelvic health, women’s health, and mental health. She comes to Lake Chelan Health with experience in the Community Mental Health setting and now works in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Jocelyn earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Pacific University in Oregon. She is happy to return to the Lake Chelan valley to be near family, friends, and unlimited outdoor adventures.
