Speech Therapy
Lake Chelan Health Rehabilitation Department offers comprehensive speech therapy services for a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Speech therapy helps individuals overcome communication challenges following:
- Stroke
- Traumatic brain injury
- Progressive neurological diseases such as Parkinson disease, dementia, Huntington disease, and ALS.
Speech therapy also works closely with children who may have communication challenges associated with autism, down syndrome, cleft palate, developmental delay and hearing impairments. Challenges in speech and language areas may include:
- Speech Articulation
- Expressive and Receptive Language
- Stuttering
- Voice
The Rehab team works alongside families and caregivers to create a therapy plan that helps individuals return to their daily functional activities such as work, school and social engagements.

Speech and Language Pathologist, M.S., CFY-SLP
Kris LaFramboise
Kris LaFramboise is a Speech and Language Pathologist with a wide range of experience. Kris has worked in a variety of setting to include private clinics, rehabilitation settings, skilled nursing facilities, home based and center-based for children birth to three years old, hospitals and most recently schools serving students ages 3-21. Kris earned her Master’s in Speech and Language from Western Washington University and currently holds her Certificate in Clinical Competence.
Kris recently moved to Chelan with her husband and enjoys spending time with family, especially her grandkids. She is looking forward to working in the community and serving those in need of communication services.
