SUMMARY:FREE Youth Heart Screenings and Sports Physicals
DESCRIPTION:The Nick of Time Foundation\, CVCH and Lake Chelan Health EMS host a FREE community event offering Heart Screenings and Sports Physicals for youth. Appointments are open to anyone 12-19 years\, regardless of where they go to school. All students must pre-register for an appointment at: \n\nSudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in exercising or at play for you people on school campus. A simple EKG can identify certain serious heart conditions that cannot be detected  by a stethoscope. \nWhat is an EKG Screening? The screening is completely painless and non-invasive (no needles or x- ray exposure).  EKG screening (Small patches with a mild latex free adhesive will be placed on the chest\, legs\, and arms. Clips are attached to the patches and the heart’s electrical activity is (recorded) Some participants may have a heart sounds physical or limited echocardiogram (ultrasound) of their heart.
